Pat Buchanan (CFF Guest - SP & HHP)
First CFF show attended was in the Brunswick Maine in the fall of 1993, we showed two Abyssinian opens, one later became our first Master Grand Champion. My first CFA show in spring of 1994, as with CFF people were very friendly and helpful to us with this new experience. My husband and I became members in both organizations in 1994. We went on to show many award winning Abyssinians I both organizations including a CFA national win “Best Aby in Championship 2007-2008” with GC BWRW Jazzy Abbys Fats Waller “Wally”. In CFF we were the first to earn in all three placements of Best Cat, Best Kitten and Best Alter in 2001/2002 in CFF.
In Sturbridge, I attended my CFA Clerking School in the summer of 1994 and became a certified clerk in 1995 earning my 15-year pin in 2010. I became a Certified Master Clerk in 2000 and enjoyed training others interested in becoming not only a clerk but also a Master Clerk. I became a CFF clerk in 1996 and a Master Clerk in January 2001, presently I am CFF’s Clerking Program Director.
I attended my first judging school advancing to All Breed Status in 2008 being very fortunate to judge in many cat organizations including CCA, ACFA, and TICA. With CFA, I did many Parade of Breed presentations in Burlington VT. I have been awarded CFF’s “Judge of the Year”, and I am CFF’s Judges Council Chair. I am a Professor at Southern Maine Community College as the Medical Assisting Program Department Chair/Program director.
Carol Fogarty (AB & HHP)
Carol purchased her first pedigreed cat in 1984, a blue lynx point Himalayan, and began exhibiting and breeding 1985. Her cattery name, Chromatics, was registered with the Cat Fanciers' Association, Inc. in 1986. Carol has had many Grand Champions and Regional Winners, and in the 1991-1992 show season, she achieved a National Win with lavender female Oriental Shorthair, GC, NW, BW, RW Chromatics Amethyst. “Amy” was also 16th Best Cat Nationally. In the Southern Region she was the best Shorthair cat and RW, BW 4th Best Cat. In 1990-1991 she was 12th Best Kitten. “Amy” was also BOB at the Invitational Show (now called the International Show). Carol has bred Siamese, Colorpoint Shorthair, American Shorthair, Cornish Rex and Persian. Her website can be viewed at:
She helped produce many cat shows and worked as show manager, show secretary, treasurer, ring clerk, master clerk, etc. She has been an Approved Allbreed Judge since 2002. She is now Secretary/Treasurer of several clubs in CFA and is former Secretary/Treasurer of KitnHevn, Inc., a "non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the welfare of all cats, both purebred and domestic, and to providing them with educated, caring and permanent homes." As an Allbreed judge, she travels extensively throughout the USA as well as exotic places such as Australia, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam, etc.
She is a college graduate and spent 25 years working as a Certified Dental Technician. In her leisure time she binge-watches HBO, Netflix, AppleTV, etc. She enjoys meetings with two book clubs. And she likes to spend as much time as possible with her 3 beautiful grand-daughters, Lilly Rose, Juliet Eve and India Blue
Wendy Heidt (AB & HHP)
Kotchera Cattery (CFA #208106) specialized in Siberians and started when the breed was in Miscellaneous status with CFA. I felt it was important to assist others in understanding the wonderful qualities of the breed. CFA recognized Siberians for Championship Status starting in May 2006. Once that happened I was proud to have granded the first Grand Champion and Grand Premier. At the end of the first season my cats had also earned the first Regional wins (in both Championship and Premiership) and National Breed win for Siberian. Shortly thereafter, my foundation queen had earned the first Distinguished Merit award for a Siberian as well.
I have been a member of many show producing clubs in the Northwest region of CFA and been a show secretary or show manager for dozens of shows including the 2017 CFA International show in Portland, OR. An Allbreed Judge, show also holds a CFA Master Clerk license and serve as a member of the CFA judging program on a committee. I have been a member of the Siberian Breed Committee and Breed Council since 2005.
It has been my pleasure to work with many breeds through my years of exhibiting and judges training. Besides Siberians, other longhair breeds I have worked with include: Turkish Angora (earning a National Win and National Breed Win), Maine Coon, Parti Color Persian, Bi Color Persian, and Exotic. My shorthair specialty is Chartreux. I worked with several cats earning Regional wins and even a National Breed Win. Other shorthair breeds include Abyssinian, Bombay, Devon Rex, Oriental Shorthairs, and Somali.
Teresa Keiger (AB &HHP)
A native of China Grove, North Carolina, Teresa Keiger wears a number of hats for CFA. In addition to her role as an Approved Allbreed Judge, she is also CFA’s Graphic Designer, Newsletter Editor, and Editor-in-Chief of the organization’s “Cat Talk” magazine.
Teresa began breeding her beloved Russian Blues under the Platina Luna cattery name in 1994 and has also bred or shown a number of other breeds, including Maine Coons, Persians, and Japanese Bobtails, Javanese, Abyssinians, Manx, and Exotics. While the Russians will always be her favorite, she treasures the unique characteristics that set each breed apart and loves to share these details with show spectators.
As a judge, Teresa has officiated at shows throughout all of CFA’s Regions and Divisions, including assignments in Europe, mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Kuwait, and Malaysia. She has judged for other associations in Australia and New Zealand. She was accepted to the judging program in 2006 and advanced to Approved Allbreed status in 2012.
When not juggling judging assignments, graphic design projects, or magazine covers, Teresa enjoys yoga, tai chi, meditation, and fine wine. She lives in Greensboro, NC with her husband Rob and an ever-changing population of (mostly blue) felines.
Teresa notes that one of the things that she enjoys about judging is educating people about both cats in general and CFA’s pedigreed cats. “I LOVE seeing people’s faces light up in wonder or recognition while I’m talking about a breed. It brings me a lot of joy, and I hope that I can bring our beloved breeds a little closer to them.”

Always an animal lover, I started my Birman breeding program in 1987 with CFA. I began my judging career in 1999, and throughout the program was privileged to show, breed and handle several other breeds of cats, including Persians, Maine Coons, Abyssinians, American Shorthairs, Ocicat, Japanese Bobtails, Chartreux, Orientals and Siamese, along with American Wirehairs, a breed I still love and hope to continue.
Through the judging program I have had the privilege to judge for many associations across the world. I am grateful for the opportunity to spread the word of pedigreed cats, and the joy of the cat fancy in many countries.
Married, with no 2 legged children, we reside in Stephenville, TX with a variety of cats, dogs, birds, and fish and recently chickens. I received my education from Purdue University, graduating in Agricultural Economics and then continuing with a Masters degree in Business Administration/Finance (MBA) from Indiana University.

Chuck Gradowski (AB)
Chuck Gradowski brings over five decades of devotion, financial acumen, and leadership to the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA). His journey began in 1971 with Lawndale Cattery, breeding and showing top-quality Abyssinians and Oriental Shorthairs, and serving on the Abyssinian, Oriental Shorthair, and Persian Breed Councils.
A respected ring authority, Chuck has been a CFA judge for over 35 years.Beyond judging, Chuck applies his professional accounting background to CFA’s business oversight. He has served on the CFA Finance Committee for ten years and continues his role as CFA’s accountant, a position he has held for seven years under three different treasurers. He also serves as treasurer for several local cat clubs and the Judging Association
Chuck lives in northwestern Illinois with his wife of 45 years, Barb. Their 10-acre property is home to their family, dogs, cats, and Saddlebred horses
Doreann Nasin (AB & HHP)
I attend my first cat show at the age of nine in 1983, and from that moment I was hooked. Watching the judges evaluate the cats and explain each breed inspired me to dream of becoming a CFA judge. Although life delayed that goal, it never changed my passion.
My mother was my biggest supporter, serving as my guardian, chauffeur, and financial supporter, but I made the decisions about breeding, grooming, showing, and learning about feline care.
I began showing Household Pets before purchasing my first CFA-registered Persian in 1986. I started breeding in 1988, working with white, brown tabby, cream, and later silver Persians. After taking breaks during college and the early years of my career, I returned to the cat fancy after buying my first home in 1995. In 2000, I discovered Turkish Angoras and quickly fell in love with their intelligence, personality, and charm.
To me, becoming a CFA judge is one of the highest honors in the cat fancy. A judge should educate, encourage, and mentor exhibitors and breeders while creating a positive experience for spectators and inspiring young people to become involved in our organization.
As one of the newest members of the judging program, I am committed to giving my time, energy, and heart to achieving my goal of becoming an Allbreed CFA Judge while supporting the continued growth of the cat fancy
Lorraine Rivard (AB & HHP)
Along with her husband Pierre, established Cha-o-P’ya Cattery in 1994 – a small cattery, breeding exclusively Siamese. Due to careful breeding they have improved their Siamese with successful results including two regional winners, seven DM’s and 45 Grand Champion & Premiers. While successfully breeding Siamese for 13 years, Lorraine moved up the ranks working as a ring clerk and then as a master clerk. She was accepted into the judging program and as a shorthair trainee in 2007. In order to advance in the program, Lorraine knew that she’d have to work with other breeds. Over the next four years, Lorraine worked with and had living with her, a Chartreux, a American Shorthair, a Persians, an Exotic, a Maine Coon as well as agented an Abyssinian, a Japanese Bobtail and a Birman. All of which she showed to their Grand Champion titles. In May 2008 Lorraine was advanced to shorthair apprentice. After working in that area and becoming an approved shorhair judge, she was accepted as a longhair trainee in 2010. In February 2011 Lorraine was advanced to longhair apprentice which approved her to judge double speciality. Having retired after 42 years as a financial advisor and mortgage originator in a Montreal bank, Lorraine is free to apply all her energy and dedication to CFA..
Gary Veach (SP & HHP)
Gary has been a CFA Allbreed judge since 1988 and relocated from Michigan to New Jersey in 2000. He served four years as a CFA Director-at-Large, has 40+ years in the CFA clerking program, holds a Master Clerk Instructor license, and has trained most of the current CFA judging panel.
With partner Omar Gonzalez (35+ years), under the catteries Briar‑Mar and Veach they produced 40+ CFA National winners (notably Persians, Oriental Shorthairs, American Shorthairs) plus regional winners in Cornish Rex, American Wirehair and Siamese. Highlights include GRC RW Briar‑Mar’s Goldeneye of Veach (first DM and top-producing American Wirehair male), NW GRC Candirand’s Lasting Impression of Briar‑Mar (sire of 23+ CFA Grand Champions, five future National winners), and multiple Cat/Kitten/Premierships of the Year—most recently GRC NW BW Mistysprings Arctic Storm. Their catteries are one of only three to achieve the trifecta of Cat of the Year, Kitten of the Year and Premiership Cat of the Year; Gary is the only CFA judge among them.
He has judged internationally in 30+ countries, guest-judged for FIFe, WCF, CCA and CFF, and has officiated the CFA International show 16+ times and the CFA Breed Showcase at Madison Square Garden, frequently serving as Best of the Best judge.
Russell Webb (AB & HHP)
Russell Webb (AB & HHP)He is the current Vice President of CFA. He began breeding Cornish Rex with his partner in 1990 under the name WhiteWeb. They produced many regional and national-winning cats. He has also bred Devon Rex and Sphynx.
Involved in every aspect of show production and show management.
Currently belongs to CFA clubs Cats Incredible, Feline Forum of New York, Garden State CC, and Steel City Kitties.
He entered the CFA Judging Program in 2009. His extensive judging career has enabled him to judge around the world, as well as judge several CFA International Shows.
